Shri Javadekar said the Paris Agreement was a solemn promise from the international community to seven billion people that we will work together to mitigate the challenges of climate change. He added that the Paris agreement outlines the roadmap to achieve this goal. He also said that the Paris agreement was a more durable and ambitious agreement and assured that the international community would come together to provide better land for future generations. The Minister stated that the agreement maintained the differentiation between the thinking measures of industrialized and developing countries. The Minister also stated that the agreement was based on the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC).
