Ucsd Data Use Agreement

At this unique time, the university recognizes the need and opportunity to enable researchers to quickly access rapidly accumulated electronic patient data for patients with COVID 19. The five institutions of the Clinical and Translational Science Award – UC Davis, UC Irvine, UCLA, UCSD, UCSF – want investigators to know two sets of data of this type: CORDS and ACT. Access to this data is subject to the terms of the CAIDA Authorized Use Agreement (PDF printable version) and the following complementary AAU: CAIDA ACCEPTABLE USE AGREEMENT (ver 071814) The following conditions include the User Directive (AUP) and the Data Licensing Agreement (together the “AGREEMENT”), or “Acceptable Use Agreement (AUA)” for all registrations made available to you by the Center for Applied Internet Data Analysis (CAIDA), a research unit at the University of San Diego, California (UC) and governed by the Regents of the University of California. Some datasets may include additional additional provisions. References to this ACCORD contain all the relevant complementary provisions. CAIDA has the power and the right, at its sole discretion, to refuse to request registrations or to cease access and use for everyone. If you feel your application is being rejected inappropriately, please contact CAIDA by sending a message to data-info@caida.org. In return for the requirement and receipt of access to CAIDA registrations, you acknowledge that you understand the terms of this CONTRAT and that you agree with that. Violations of this ACCORD may lead to the suspension or immediate termination of this ACCORD and/or other legal measures, such as omission or fair reparation. You are individually responsible and responsible for the compliance of this ACCORD. This ACCORD is legally binding under the laws of the State of California. You can terminate this contract by contacting CAIDA in writing and receiving confirmation of this request. 1.

LICENSE CAIDA`s authorization to access data grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, non-transferable, non-transferable, and terminally available license to copy, modify and use the data provided for by this ACCORD only for public purposes, non-profit training, internal commercial testing and data analysis or government purposes by or on behalf of the U.S. government. No licence is granted for other purposes and there is no implied licence in this agreement. This agreement enters into force on the date of CAIDA approval and remains in effect for a period of one year, unless it is denounced earlier or amended in writing. CAIDA has the right to use your comments received during the licensing period exclusively for education and/or non-profit research purposes. 2. GENERAL CONDITIONS (i) You will not present yourself as a natural or legal person, you will not present false affiliations to another person, entity or association, use erroneous information or hide your identity from caida for any purpose. (ii) You agree that CAIDA may publish or disclose your name as a registered applicant, the name of your linked institution, the names of the registrations provided by CAIDA under this AAU, and a brief description of the type of research you provided to CAIDA. (iii) They will comply with all changes.
