The UK`s National Audit Office (NAO) published the report The UK border: preparedness for EU exit update in October 2018 and an update in February 2019 . :4 The new relationship does not become clear until the end of the transition period, when the negotiations are over. The new agreements will enter into force after the transition period that ends on December 31, 2020. EU countries must first approve these new agreements. If Britain and the EU fail to reach an agreement, there will be a “non-deal” of Brexit. This will be done at the end of the transition period. The EU has announced that UK residents and businesses would not have been able to register or renew .eu domain names after the withdrawal date. Pro-Brexit Tory MPs have called on Boris Johnson to abandon the EU withdrawal deal if there is no trade deal, saying he was promised to do so before passing the law in January. After the adoption by the British House of Lords on 22 January of the European Union Withdrawal Agreement Act, the bill received royal approval from the Queen. The European Parliament approved the agreement on 29 January.
A Brexit without a deal has been strongly supported by the Trump administration. John R. Bolton, U.S. National Security Adviser, told British Prime Minister Boris Johnson that President Trump wanted a successful UK exit from the European Union. A Brexit without a deal would also have changed Britain`s alignment with US rules, not EU rules. “There is no point in thinking about chronologies that go beyond this point,” he will say. “If we can`t agree by then, I don`t see that there will be a free trade agreement between us, and we should accept it and continue.” The withdrawal agreement is complemented by the political declaration setting the framework for future relations between the European Union and the statement of Her Majesty`s Government of the United Kingdom of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland on the application of the “Democratic Approval in Northern Ireland” provision of the Protocol on Ireland and Northern Ireland.
